It forms over millions of years inside igneous and metamorphic rocks, and the finest specimens come from Sri Lanka and Madagascar. Each stone holds a quiet shimmer that shifts as the light moves across it, like moonlight on still water.

Gray Polychrome Jasper, also called Desert Jasper, is a variety of silicified chalcedony discovered in Madagascar in 2008. Its muted grays, creams, and soft earth tones are the result of iron inclusions within ancient volcanic sediment — and because the terrain requires hand-digging, every piece represents a small and deliberate act of recovery from the earth.

Picture Jasper is a true jasper — an opaque, silica-rich chalcedony — whose surface holds the landscape of an ancient world. Its swirling sepia tones of cream, brown, gold, and rust are created by iron oxides, manganese, and organic material settling into the stone over millions of years as fine sediment and silica-rich fluids move slowly through the earth. Notable deposits are found in the American West, particularly Oregon, Idaho, and Utah, where the Pacific Northwest's ancient volcanic terrain gives each piece its own distinct scene.

Petrified Wood begins as ancient wood that, over millions of years, is gradually replaced by minerals while its grain and structure remain. Warm brown and cream tones create natural patterns that echo the tree it once was.

Golden Tiger’s Eye is formed through a geological process called pseudomorphism: over millions of years, quartz slowly replaces a fibrous blue mineral called crocidolite, inheriting its silky, parallel fiber structure. When the stone is polished, this internal architecture creates chatoyancy — the famous rolling band of light that moves like a living eye across the surface. Most comes from South Africa, from ancient rock formations over 2.5 billion years old.

Imperial Jasper is a rare, orb-patterned jasper mined in the steep canyon country northwest of Guadalajara, Mexico, formed when silica-rich fluids seeped through volcanic rock over millions of years. Its deep raspberry and dark red tones come from iron oxide inclusions, and no two pieces share the same pattern — each one carrying its own small geography of color.

Red Tiger’s Eye has a shimmery, silky band of light in warm reds and deep mahogany tones. When polished, the light seems to shimmer across the surface as the stone turns.

Sodalite is a rich blue natural gemstone, often crossed with white calcite veining. It forms in igneous rock and polishes to a smooth, glassy finish.

Lapis Lazuli is one of the oldest gemstones in human history, mined continuously for over 7,000 years from the Sar-e-Sang mines in northeast Afghanistan — one of the oldest gem mines on Earth still in operation. It is a metamorphic rock rather than a single mineral, composed primarily of deep blue lazurite, with flecks of golden pyrite and white calcite woven through it like stars in a night sky. Ground into ultramarine pigment, it was once more valuable by weight than gold, used by Michelangelo and countless other Renaissance painters to achieve a blue that no other material could match.

Green Moss Agate is a chalcedony whose translucent body is threaded with dendritic inclusions of manganese, iron, and chrome — creating the appearance of preserved moss or fern frozen in stone. It is found in India, Montana, Russia, and Australia, and forms when silica-rich solutions move through rock slowly enough to allow the delicate inclusions to take shape.

Morado Opal is a common opal from central Mexico, its lavender-to-violet color coming from tiny fluorite inclusions carried through silica. Unlike precious opal, it shows no play-of-color — its beauty is in the swirl of purple and white marbling itself, no two pieces quite alike.

Purple Mookaite is a rare, richly colored jasper found only along Mooka Creek in Western Australia, formed roughly 120 million years ago from the silica-rich remains of microscopic marine creatures called radiolarians. Each piece holds a record of an ancient sea — its swirling plums, mauves, and creams the result of iron minerals locked in place as that ocean receded.

Black Obsidian is natural volcanic glass, formed when lava cools so quickly that crystals cannot develop. Its deep black surface can polish to a mirror-like, reflective shine.

Gold Sheen Obsidian is volcanic glass formed when lava cools too quickly to crystallize, distinguished by a golden iridescence caused by layers of microscopic gas bubbles trapped during solidification. When the stone is turned in light, the golden sheen appears and disappears — like sunlight moving across still water.

Black Jade is a rare form of Nephrite Jade, formed through contact metamorphism — the process by which heat and pressure from an igneous intrusion causes surrounding rock to recrystallize into something new. Most of the world’s Black Jade comes from Peru, where some stones also carry inclusions of golden Pyrite, and from Cowell, Australia, which holds what may be the world’s largest Nephrite deposit.

Picasso Marble, also called Picasso Stone, is actually a metamorphic limestone — not a true marble — formed over millions of years under heat and pressure deep within the earth. Found primarily in Utah, its dramatic patterns of black, gray, cream, and rust emerge from iron oxide and calcium carbonate shifting and flowing as the rock transformed, creating what look like abstract brushstrokes frozen in stone.

Labradorite is a crystal gemstone that can look smoky gray at first, then reveal flashes of blue, green, and gold when it catches the light. Every stone moves differently with light.

The result is a stone that visibly holds two states at once: transformation caught mid-stream.
